Marvin,

   Just noticed the label text and icon are affected by transparecy, but the background texture is not.  Thought I would mention it.

The background image wasn't drawn at all, if the bacground tile mode was STRETCH. This is fixed now. The transparency will also work now. But make sure, you're using a heavyweight Label.
