Some time ago i finished an exam task. The task was about writing an application that illustrates a scientific concept. In my case i choosed light and shadow. The main focus of this project were the usability (GUI) functions and concepts.

The code is very bad so don't expect much of it. I tested it with windows and linux on some machines.

The softshadows are faked using scaled textures with alpha. The hardshadows are programmed but the implementation is not very accurate.

Did you know, that Xith features shadow mapping through fixed-func or GLSL nowadays?

I wasn't able to start your app through the linux starter script. It always told me, that the lighthouse.Lighthouse class didn't exist. I have attached your source converted to the current Xith3D API (not using the built-in shadow-mapping). It works now.

Yepp, the bash script does not work properly i think thats an issue with \n\r of windows. The call should work if you copy the cmd line from the script and execute it.
